TickerIsland Privacy Policy

TickerIsland is an iOS app made by BitVibe Labs. This page explains what leaves your phone and what stays on it.

The short version: the app has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. The only thing our server ever receives is a push token and the ticker symbols you chose to watch.

1.What Our Server Receives

When you put tickers on the Dynamic Island, the app registers with our push server so prices can reach your phone while it is locked. That registration contains two things:

A push token. Apple issues this token for the Live Activity. It identifies the activity on your phone, not you.
Your watchlist symbols (for example BTC, AAPL), so the server knows which prices to send.

That is the complete list. Nothing else is sent to us.

2.Why We Need It

A Live Activity keeps updating on a locked phone only if a server pushes data to it. Our server fetches market prices and pushes them to your token about every ten seconds, for as long as your Live Activity is running, and stops when it ends.

3.How Long We Keep It

Only while your Live Activity is active. The token and symbols are deleted when the activity ends, when the token is unregistered, or when the token goes stale and stops accepting pushes. We keep no history of what you watched.

4.What We Do Not Collect

No account and no sign-in.
No analytics and no crash reporting.
No ads and no tracking of any kind.
Your portfolio holdings and lots stay on your phone. The app removes them from the registration data before anything is sent. They are never uploaded anywhere.

5.Services Your Phone Talks to Directly

The app fetches market data and news straight from your phone. Those requests go to the providers, not through us:

Provider	What for
Hyperliquid	Live crypto prices.
Yahoo Finance	Stock, index, commodity, and currency prices, delayed 15 minutes.
Your RSS feeds	News. The default sources are Reuters (through Google News), BBC, MarketWatch, CNBC, WSJ Markets, NYT Business, Guardian Business, and CoinDesk, and you can add your own.

Each provider handles those requests under its own privacy policy. TickerIsland is not affiliated with any of them.

6.Where Our Server Runs

The push server is operated by BitVibe Labs on a server hosted in Germany, reached through Cloudflare (which terminates TLS for tickerpush.bitvibelabs.com). Push delivery itself goes through the Apple Push Notification service, under Apple's privacy policy.
